Day 3 Orientation: The Amazing Race

"Expanding Our Learning Network" is one of our schools value. I understand that we should expand our learning network by knowing more about the community and even the world instead of limiting our knowledge to school. Today we have the Amazing Race and we got to travel around Clementi. By doing so, we get to know more about the people and their living conditions. We can help those people by visiting the old folks' home, etc. We can also absorb materials given by SST more easily due to our prior knowledge .

Day 2 Orientation: Team Building Challenge

I feel that working in a team allows me to get to know more about the people in my team and it help to build up our confidence as we begin to trust our classmates. I interacted and contributed to the team during the Scavenger Hunt. I think I should give more ideas and speak up more in order for others to hear my suggestions in future group activities. I believe that I can start to trust my class after the team building challenges as I know more about them. Similar to yesterday, I did not experience much problem as the teams was productive and communicated well. There is always room for improvement and we can do better next time.

Day 1 Orientation: Bridge Building Activity

I feel that the team has done a great job on the bridge building project and it is not easy working as a team as u got to accept other people's comments. I think its fun getting to know more people and communicating with them. I should get more/contribute more ideas and so I could improve on those points mentioned. I did not experience any difficulties as the team members worked well as everyone communicated well. But most of all, its a great experience to get to know more people and gaining more knowledge on different things.

Route from my home to SST

According to Google Maps, the most convenient way to SST is by car, and it would take less than 15 mins(provided no jam). It also tells me very detailed direction to reach my destinations and allows us to know plan our time in advance, instead of having all those last minute preparations. In conclusion, google maps help us to get to our destination by the shortest amount of time.

Knowing how to blog

I felt a sense of achievement after knowing how to blog. For me, creating this blog is not easy as i have to think of what i have to say and have to accept other people comments. We can learn different information through the blog by posting interesting facts. I think using blog to teach is fun.

Feelings of JOY

I was feeling extremely happy when I received the confirmation letter. Previously I was under the waiting list, feeling a little apprehensive. On the result day, in the classroom, after I received the S1 form from my teacher. Seeing with my own eyes that I was posted to sst, I was overwhelmed with joy. Choosing this jumping for joy picture reflects my emotions as it speaks a thousand words.
